Whether Faith Sharing in the Four Directions, Returning to Spirit, Learning English as a Second Language Using Sacred Story, Scripturefest, Taize Prayer or workshops and retreats for art and spirituality, all of our offerings are opportunities and means to “bridge the gap” between people of diverse ages and backgrounds, ethnic and racial origins, religious viewpoints and ways of life. We invite you to come, take part in the wide range of options offered for spiritual retreat and renewal and join Queen’s House mission to mind the gaps that keep us from living fully the call to spirituality and service. Having shared our bread, we know that we are no longer hungry. It is enough that you see me for myself. That I see you for yourself. That we bless what we see and do not borrow, do not use one another. This is how we know we are no longer hungry… that the world is full of terror, full of beauty and yet we are not afraid to find solace here. To be bread for each other, - Gunilla Noris A prayer by Sr. Mary Ann Coyle, S.L., from the book "Prayers for a Thousand Years", seems fitting for our theme: Professing unshakable reliance upon you our God, and human reliance upon one another, we, women and men of your creation, joined in love, open wide the window of a new time in which the sun will refresh equally the rich and the poor, the animals of the sea and the birds of the air, the plants of the earth and the stones of the ages -- indeed, all creation. May our trust in your providence and in each other lead us to act justly, to love tenderly, to walk humbly, and to live together in peace on this earth. Amen.
