During this week we will explore the lives of some valiant women: Hildegard of Bingen, Brigid of Kildare, Julian of Norwich and those amazing women – the Beguines of the Middle Ages. Their stories will make a profound impact on our lives today as we draw on their witness and courage. We will also look at a few contemporary rebels and prophets whose lives give witness to the perennial presence and love of God in our struggling world. And we will explore and discover something of our own mystical power and potential! This retreat will leave us inspired, affirmed and courageous as we continue our own journeys as mystics, rebels and prophets.

Author of 13 books and recipient of 13 national and international awards, Edwina Gateley currently writes, gives talks, and leads retreats internationally. She also continues to work with women in recovery through her small Foundation, Sophia’s Circle.
