Spiritual Direction Formation Program

Program Directors
Bishop Gerald Wiesner, OMI, Gisele Bauche and Dianne Mantyka are pleased to offer this 2 year program. Their ecumenical background in Theology, Biblical Studies, Spirituality and Prayer, along with life experience and years of experience in Ministry, Mission, and Spiritual Formation will help the participants meet the goal of the program. The goal is to prepare mature adult Christians in the ministry of Spiritual Direction and mentoring, and in prayer companioning of leaders in parishes, congregations and ministries.

Spiritual Formation, Spiritual Direction
Prayer, Discernment, Contemplation
Self-Awareness & Personal Growth
Biblical Spirituality
Spirituality in Various Traditions
Pre-Requisites for the Program
1. One of the following:
8 Day Directed Retreat
19th Annotation or 30 Day Ignatian Retreat
Walking on Holy Ground/Living from the Heart/Jubilee I
2. Experience of ongoing Spiritual Direction
Weekend Format & Practicum
Each weekend will begin 7pm Friday and end Sunday with lunch, with the exception of the opening weekend beginning Thursday. During each weekend, along with input on a topic, there will be opportunity for process and for developing self-awareness by way of individual reflection, journaling, supervision, sharing with quads and the entire group, and by supervised Spiritual Direction experience. The program includes a 6 Day Silent Ignatian Retreat practicum.
