Since March 20th, Queen’s House has been temporarily closed to the public due to the COVID-19 virus. In adherence to the health and civic directives common to all, we anticipate that we will remain closed to the public until officials indicate that we will be able to safely reopen and the guidelines that will direct this process are in place. We anticipate that Queen’s House will be guided by the directives contained in Phases 3 and 4 of the Re-Open Saskatchewan Plan. We are monitoring our protocols and best business practices as we move forward.
Sadly, we feel the annual Oblate Golf Scramble can no longer be considered a possibility and we are regrettably cancelling it for our June 28th, 2020 scheduled date. Although Moon Lake is a private golf course, in consultation with them, we feel there will be too many necessary limitations to safely host such a socially focused event. This cautious approach is echoed by other local golf courses, who have temporarily suspended all tournaments and leagues. We certainly look forward to the time when we can come together again to enjoy our Queen’s House Oblate Scramble once again! Our staff, volunteers, Board members and Oblate Community value the enjoyment and fellowship that this event creates; indeed, the financial support that it generates for the operation of Queen’s House will be missed. However, this is the most responsible decision that can be made given our current circumstances. In the meantime, keep working on your short game and be ready for our return to “Golf fun in 2021”.
